Sidemount regulators are specifically configured for divers using a sidemount setup, where cylinders are carried at the sides of the body instead of on the back. This configuration requires precise hose routing, optimal balance, and reliable performance to ensure comfort and efficiency underwater.

When choosing a sidemount regulator, look for balanced first and second stages for consistent breathing performance, flexible and properly sized hoses for streamlined routing, and durable components designed for technical and extended dives. Cold-water sealing and DIN connections are often preferred for added security and reliability. A well-configured sidemount regulator system enhances trim, redundancy, and overall control during the dive.
